The floors are in, which means I finally get to do the fun part. Our 1970s farmhouse sits on 40 acres in Ohio, and Shawn and I are turning it into a place that feels like a hunting lodge with a modern cottage living inside it. Here is the plan, room by room.
The queen bedroom
Warm colors and a bed you never want to leave. Follow along on my Cabin Queen Bedroom shelf.
The twin bedroom
The room for whoever comes to visit, and I want them to stay a while. See it on my Cabin Twin Bedroom shelf.
The dining room
A table that can handle a crowd, and a room that makes people linger after the plates are cleared. Here is my Cabin Dining shelf.
The hallway
Nobody thinks about the hallway until it is the first thing you see every morning. Here is my Cabin Hallway shelf.
The walls
This is where the house gets its story. I am on the hunt for farm paintings, deer paintings, and the occasional piece of taxidermy. My finds so far are on my Antiques shelf.
